Our Favorite Vegan Alternatives

Going vegan can be difficult for some, after years of habit, changing your diet can be a daunting task. Many think that when you go vegan you won’t be able to eat your favorite foods, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Anything can be made vegan, and learning to make these adjustments will improve your creativity in the kitchen making it easier as time goes on. Making the switch will benefit your body, soul, and of course, the homies.

Here are a few of our favorite vegan alternatives to easily make the switch!

Butter - Miyokos cultured vegan butter.

Cream cheese- Miyoko's Creamery Organic Vegan Cream Cheese (all of the flavors we’ve tried are incredible)

Cream cheese- Kite hill cream cheese (everything flavor & chive are our favorites)

Vegan feta cheese - Trader joes has an amazing vegan feta cheese, we also recommend violife and follow your heart.

Mozzarella cheese - miyokos organic cashew milk mozzarella. They also have a great “liquid” option for pizzas.

Parmesan cheese- violife

Cheddar cheese- miyokos farmhouse cheddar

Ground beef - “Beefless ground beef” from trader joes, beyond meat

Chicken - the best vegan chicken out there is by daring. They currently sell it at costco, whole foods, sprouts, kroger, albertsons, and walmart.

Sausage - beyond meat (we love the hot italian flavor). If you're not a fan of Italian sausage, Field Roast makes a delicious smoked apple and sage flavor!

In short, our favorite option for all things butter and cheese is miyokos.

If you’re looking for a meat alternative go with beyond meat, but if you are specifically looking for ground beef we prefer trader joes “beefless ground beef” and for chicken, we suggest daring.
